Korouoma frozen waterfalls + Santa Claus + Snowman World!
With Santa’s Circle, you can reveal the curtain of mystery of the wilderness around you and step in to the fairy-tale and the history of local culture and nature.
Korouoma is a million years old fracture valley in the bedrock, situated 100km from Rovaniemi to the south. In the centre of the valley, it forms a magnificent gorge that drops over 100 meters below its surrounding terrain. Korouoma is known for its magnificent frozen waterfalls that cover the tall cliffs in the winter. There are altogether 14 frozen waterfalls along the Korouoma hiking trail. Be amazed how the nature itself can make art, such a masterpiece in the middle of the wilderness.
After visiting Korouoma, we will continue to the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi and dive into the wonderful fairy-tale that reveals the inner child in you. Cherish the joyful and warm atmosphere in Santa Claus Village and meet Santa himself in his office. We will also visit the Snowman world where you can try fun snow activities (exciting ice slides, ice skating), visit the magical Ice Bar and Ice Restaurant with beautiful ice and snow sculptures. The bar’s art gallery is filled with animal figures and fairy-tale characters that are carved out of snow and ice with stunning details.
